Introduction
The purpose of this study is to give scriptural insight and understanding of God’s plan for man from his original creation, fall, redemption, and restoration of his wonderful purpose.

This study was prepared in the form of questions and comments, it is important to study all the scriptural references, make personal notes from them, and then read the comments that followed the question. All scriptural references are taken from the New King James Version of the Bible unless otherwise stated. The keyword or words in the reference verses are highlighted to have words to think and meditate upon.

To gain the knowledge God intends, asked Him to open your understanding to the scriptures you read. Remove your mind from any preconceived opinion and focus on what the scriptures say. Be like the Bereans Christians who studied the scriptures to be sure what they heard were true. Believe the Word of God, prove it and hold fast to it, because it is true.

May your heart be blessed as you study diligently.

1. What was the Messiah’s real Mission to the earth?
Read Genesis 3:15, Genesis 3:21, Romans 5:8, John 3:16-17, I Peter 1:18-21, Revelation 13:8, 1 Corinthians 5:7, John 1:29, I John 3:5, John 14:30,
Comment:
When Adam and Eve sinned, God pronounced judgment upon them and also on the serpent. To the serpent who tricked them to sin, God said “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.”, Genesis 3:15″. In this pronounced judgment, God declared that a seed of the woman will defeat Satan. The seed of the woman will also restore man back to what he lost. After the judgment, God immediately showed that a sacrifice will be needed in the redemption of man by clothing Adam and Eve with the skin of an animal – an act of God’s love and mercy. Note that in the plan of redeeming man, it was God who initiated the plan, not the man, Romans 5:8, John 3:16-17. The seed of the woman that will defeat Satan and restore man back to God and paradise is Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus Christ).

The Messiah was the lamb of God slain to take the sins of the world away. 1 Peter 1:18-19, “knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. In the final act of God that will give the children of Israel freedom from slavery and Egypt (a type of sin), God showed the importance of a sacrifice in the redemption of man when He instructed the children of Israel through Moses to kill a Passover lamb. In this dispensation, our Passover lamb is the Messiah (Christ). 1 Corinthians 5:7 says “Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover was sacrificed for us.” John 1:29, “The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”.

The Messiah was born to die and save us from our sins, Matthew 1:21. He carried our sins and received our death penalty, even though he did not sin. The scripture in 1 Peter 2:24 declares “He Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness” and 1 John 3:5 “And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin.” He qualified to be a perfect (without blemish) lamb to carry our sins away because he has no sin in him (Hebrews 4:15). The Messiah was a once and for all sacrifice; we do not need a physical lamb anymore.

Before the death of Messiah, in the course of his earthly ministry, the Messiah preached about the Kingdom of God to be set up on earth, Mark 1: 14, Luke 4:43. Almost all His parables were about this Kingdom, Mark 4: 1-33, Luke 13: 18-21, Matthew 13:24-52, Matthew 22: 1-14, Matthew 18: 23-35, Matthew 25:1-46. He taught his disciples to pray for that Kingdom to come, Matthew 6:9-10, Luke 11:2. He also sent them to preach about it, Luke 9:2. The Messiah told believers to seek after it, Luke 12:31, Matthew 6:33. The Kingdom of God, the Messiah preached in part is the restoration of Eden (Paradise) back to man. Much more, the coming of the Kingdom of God is the beginning of God glorious Government on earth. In the Kingdom, the Messiah will be the King with the saints reigning with Him, John 18:36-37, Daniel 7. When this Kingdom is restored, God will once again visit the earth and dwell among us, Revelation 21: 1-3.

The real overall mission of the Messiah to the earth was to die for the sin of man, announce the soon-coming kingdom of God, and to rule and reign as king when the kingdom of God is established.

John 14:30, “I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.”

2. Did the Messiah really die?
Read Ecclesiastes 12:7, Luke 23:46, Matthew 27:50, John 19:30, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, 1 John 4:3
Comment:
The scripture says the Messiah (Christ) died and indeed He died, for the wages of sin is death. Paul in his letter to the Corinthians writes in 1 Corinthians 15:3, “For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures.” The resurrected Messiah Himself adds in Revelation 1:18, “I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore.” He introduces His message to the Smyrna Church by saying, “These things says the First and the Last, who was dead and came to life” (Revelation 2:8). The Messiah must die for the sacrifice for the sins of humanity to be accepted. He was in the grave for three days and three nights. The Messiah, in order to taste death like every man (Hebrews 2:9), had to die just as every man does. In the grave, He was completely dead; He was without life and unconscious, both in the body and in spirit.

Scriptural references
Ecclesiastes 12:7, “Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, And the spirit will return to God who gave it.”

Luke 23:46, “And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My spirit.’ ” Having said this, He breathed His last.”

Matthew 27:50
“And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.”

John 19:30, “So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.”

I Corinthians 15:3-4, “For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,”

I John 4:3 “and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming and is now already in the world.”

3. How was the Messiah resurrected?
Read Acts 10:40, Acts 5:30, 1 Corinthians 6:14, 2 Corinthians 4:14
Comment:
God raised up the Messiah from the grave by the power of His Holy Spirit. He was the firstborn from the dead, and in the fullness of time, other believers will follow when they are resurrected too. At that time there will 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and so on born of the family of God. This is the expectation of the creation, a time when we will be born into the family of God following the example of the Messiah. The scripture says “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.”, Romans 8:19.

Scriptural references
Acts 10:40, “Him God raised up on the third day, and showed Him openly,”

Acts 5:30, “The God of our fathers raised up Jesus whom you murdered by hanging on a tree.”

1 Corinthians 6:14 KJV, “And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.”

2 Corinthians 4:14 KJV, “Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.”

4. With what body did the Messiah resurrect?
Read Revelations 1: 14-16, Daniel 7:9
Comment:
Revelation 1, verses 12 to 16 gave a stunning revelation of the body of the resurrected Messiah. In these scriptural verses, the followings were revealed.
1. His head and His hair were like wool, as white as snow
2. His eyes were like a flame of fire
3. His feet were like brass
4. His voice was as the sound of many waters
5. His countenance was like the sun shines his strength

Scriptural references
Revelations 1: 12-16, “Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire; His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters; He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength.”Revelation 1:12-16

5. Will believers take the likeness of the Messiah (Christ) after the resurrection?
Read Romans 6:5, Philippians 3:20, 21, Romans 8:29, 1 Corinthians 15: 50-53.
Comment:
The Scripture says we shall be in the likeness of the Messiah’s resurrected body (glorious body). At the resurrection, believers will put on an immortal, incorruptible, glorious, and spiritual body. This is the body with which we can enter the Kingdom of God. This is the mystery of all ages – for humans to be changed into the real image and likeness of God. In this body, humans will live forever bearing holy and righteous characters. It is impossible to sin in this body.

Scriptural references
Romans 6:5, “For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection,”

Philippians 3:20,21, “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.”

Romans 8:29, “For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the IMAGE OF HIS SON, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren”

1 Corinthians 15: 50-53, “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

6. What is the main purpose of the Messiah’s redemption work?
Read Genesis 5:1, 1 Corinthians 15:49-53, 1 John 3:9
Comment:
At the beginning when God created man, He created man in His image and likeness, but when Adam and Eve sinned this changed. Instead of man giving birth to children in the image of God, he started producing children after himself, Genesis 5:1. The purpose of the Messiah’s redemption work is to bring man back to his original state and for him to regain what he lost because of sin. The death of Messiah guaranteed the forgiveness of man’s sin and His resurrection gives us the hope of everlasting life. The Messiah resurrected with a glorious body and believers will be like Him when they resurrect. Resurrection produces sons of God in His image and likeness, children whose death has no power. The two keywords that describe the Messiah’s redemption work are reconciliation and restitution (restoration) of all things. The Messiah reconciled us back to God and at His second coming will restore or restitute all things man has lost back to him.

Scriptural references
Genesis 5:1-3, This is the book of the genealogy of Adam. In the day that God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. He created them male and female, and blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created. And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years, and begot a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth.

I Corinthians 15:49-53, “And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot INHERIT the kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption.

1 John 3:9, “Whosoever is born of God does not commit sin; for His seed remains in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God”

7. What is the ultimate purpose of man after the resurrection?
Read Revelation 1:6, Revelation 5:10, Daniel 7:18, Daniel 7:27, Daniel 2:44, Daniel 7:22
Comment:
The ultimate purpose of man after the resurrection is rulership with the Messiah (Christ). At the second coming of the Messiah after the saints are resurrected, the Messiah and the resurrected saints will possess the kingdoms of the world forever. It should be noted that one of the things Adam and Eve lost to the devil when they sinned was their authority to rule the earth, Genesis 1: 26-28, Luke 4: 5-7. Man handed over his authority to rule and have dominion over the earth. But when the Messiah returns, He will take this rulership back from the devil and gives to man, the original owner, Revelation 11: 15, Daniel 7:18, Daniel 7:27, Daniel 2:44, Daniel 7:22.

Taking back rulership of this world from the devil is not something that will be done without the devil giving a fight, but he will be defeated and his armies, Psalm 2:1-9, Revelation 19: 11-21, Revelation 20: 7-10. After the defeat of the devil, the Messiah and the saints will possess the kingdoms of the earth and then set up the kingdom God on earth, the kingdom that will never be destroyed. In this kingdom, the Saints will reign as kings, priests, and lords, sharing rulership with Christ, Revelation 1:6, Revelation 5:10. At this point all things will be put under man, making him fulfill the original purpose he was first created, Psalm 8.

Scriptural references
Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!” Revelation 11: 15

Revelation 1:6, “and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”

Revelation 5:10
“And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.”

Daniel 7:18, “But the saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever.’”

Daniel 7:27, “Then the kingdom and dominion, And the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, Shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And all dominions shall serve and obey Him.’”

Daniel 2:44, “And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.”

Daniel 7:22, “until the Ancient of Days came, and a judgment was made in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came for the saints to possess the kingdom.”

Matthew 25:31-34, When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, “Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.”

Conclusion
Man was created with awesome power and authority to rule and dominate the earth. But man lost this authority when he disobeyed God. He also lost eternal life and was cut off from God. But because of the love, mercy, and grace of God for man, He put in place a plan to redeem man and reconciled him back to his original state. Through the death and resurrection of the Messiah, man was redeemed, reconciled to God, and given the hope of eternal life. At the second coming of the Lord, the saints will be resurrected and be given a glorious body. After the defeat of the devil and his armies, the Messiah and the resurrected Saints will possess the kingdoms of the world and set up the promised Kingdom of God that will stand forever. In this Kingdom, the saints will rule and reign with the Messiah and once again demonstrating his awesome power and authority in a new glorious body created in the image and likeness of God. The ultimate calling of God for your life is rulership with the Messiah, you are called to be a king and priest, to rule and dominate the earth. This is what you must long and pray for, any other purpose apart from this is deception. The Lord warns, “Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown”, Revelation 3:11. May God give you understanding.
