He said to him, “Tend My sheep.” 17 He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?”

Pattern
- The Church is patterned according to the teachings and doctrines of the New Testament Apostles and the teachings of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, He is the chief corner stone. The pattern is simply following their footsteps.
- Acts 2:42 – “And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayer”
- Ephesians 2: 19-20 – “Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone,”
- 1 Corinthians 3:11 – “For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”
